Members of most AQ-Watch partner institutions met in Hamburg on 11-12 February 2020 for the project kickoff meeting. Partners from China were unable to travel but attended the whole meeting remotely. During the meeting, participants were able to interact with colleagues, while discussing details of activities linked to all Work Packages (WP). It was important to define how will be the interaction with users of AQ-Watch products, particularly in defining their needs for those products. Also, the details for model runs were defined, as well a good discussion for product prototypes that will be part of AQ-Watch’s Toolkit. Following presentations from WP leaders, participants were divided in three breakout groups to discuss topics like observations and databases, multi-model development/forecasts, and stakeholder interactions and business plan development. Several activities have been planned that will contribute to the delivery of high quality products.
